About 22 thousand people are getting their education on different studying forms, educational and qualified levels.

SSU conducts training on 55 specialties of 36 areas and 21 fields of knowledge.

According to the Webometrics Rating, SSU takes the 11^th place in worldwide Internet rating among Ukrainian institutes of higher education (in July, 2010).

The university takes high positions among Ukrainian institutes of higher education for its number of prize places , that were won by SSU students in All-Ukrainian Olympiads on educational disciplines, training areas, specialties ( 2008-09 year (a. y.) –the 4^th place).

For its number of prize places in All- Ukrainian Competitions of students’ research works SSU takes the leading places among Ukrainian institutes of higher education ( 2008-09 a.y.- the first place).

Directions of studying at the Preparatory Department of the Faculty on the Work with Foreign Citizens: Medical and biological, Engineering and technical, Economical, Humanitarian.
After successful completion of the FWFC graduates gain a certificate, which gives a right to continue studying at any institution of higher education of Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia.
