On June, 1-11 2009 Ph.D. (physical-mathematical sciences), Professor S.O.Nepiyko from Institute of Physics, J.Guttenberg University (Mainz, Germany) visited the chair of applied physics of ElIT Faculty, SSU. The visit was organized in terms of the agreement about scientific-technical cooperation.

On May, 18 a PR-manager of the company International Education Society, Simona Kosmakova, came to SSU. The aim of her visit was meeting our administration and the university, and also discussion of the questions of international certification of diplomas of our graduates.

The ecological situation in the world is a problem for everyone. But only some people try to influence it. Those people that want to change something gathered on April, 29 – May, 2 at the International conference in Sumy (SSU) called “Economics for Ecology”.
The history of the conference starts in 1992. It was founded by the head of the char of economics, Ph.D. (economic sciences) Leonid H.Melnyk. The aim of the conference is to gather students and young scientists that work with the problems of the environment and those who try to discuss the most important questions with the help of economic sciences and find new students’ ecological organizations. The conference has been organized by SSU students since 1998 and most participants are also students.
