The Chair of Computerized Control Systems
Training: 6.050201 – System Engineering
Specialty: Systems of Control and Automatics
The head of the chair Ph.D. (technical sciences), associate professor Volodymyr D. Cherv’yakov
Information about the specialty
The 4th level of accreditation. The training is done according at two levels – Bachelor and Specialist Degree on the basis of full- and part-time studying both on the free state and commercial basis.
The qualification of the specialist: Engineer of computer systems.
The currency of the specialty is determined by the modern strategy of development – introduction of systems of control and automatics into all areas of techniques and technologies (industry, transport, communication, household, energy etc).
The specialists have a high level of computer, electro-technical and system-technical training and are able to solve the tasks of automatization of the modern industry and create new systems of automatization on the basis of informational technologies.
The objects of the professional activity of specialists in the field of system engineering are systems and devices that are realized through microprocessors and EOM, electro-mechanical systems of automatization, automatized technological systems, computerized administrative and social systems and computer nets.
The graduates find work at industrial enterprises of different forms of property in Sumy and Sumy region, in educational establishments, administration, market, banks etc. They take positions of managers whose work is connected with development and exploitation of means of automatization and computerized control systems videlicet – a master, an engineer in the workshops of enterprises, a scientific collaborator in scientific-research organizations, a development engineer in some project organizations, programmer and net administrator in computer bureaus.
The history of the chair
The chair was founded in 1991 on the basis of the chair of general electro-techniques and electronics.
Personnel
There are 9 teachers working at the chair, including 6 associate professors with Ph.D. in technical or physical-mathematical sciences.
Scientific-Research Work
The chair conducts the research in “Synthesis Methodology of Object-Oriented Control Systems”.
In 2002 K.H. Hrytsenko defended the Ph.D. thesis “Automated Energy-Saving Control of Pump Water Supply Station” (specialty 05.13.07 – Technology Processes Automatization). In 2003 A.V. Pavlov defended the Ph.D. thesis “Structure, phase structure and mechanical properties of Ti-C system covering” (specialty 01.04.07 - Solid-State Physics). A.O. Panych is preparing the Ph.D. thesis “Control system synthesis by base organ of fly cutter”. A.V. Tolbatov is also preparing the dissertation devoted to the topic of “Analysis methods of gas-turbine power plant ACS”.
During the training student take part in scientific-research works that are done at the chair. Best students can continue their education at post-graduate school of the chair on the specialty of “Informational technologies”.
Every year teachers, post-graduate students and students of the chair present 10-15 reports at SSU scientific-technical conference and also 1-2 reports at International scientific conferences.
Every year teachers and post-graduate students publish 7-8 articles in special journals and collections of scientific works.
Every year 4th and 5th students take part in Ukrainian contest of scientific works on the approaches “Electro-techniques and electro-mechanics”, “Information science, cybernetics and automatization”.
