University Academic Council
University Academic Council is a collegial body of a higher academic establishment.
The main task of the Academic Council is the solution of the most important problems in educational and methodical, scientific, pedagogic and manpower policy with an aim of qualitative specialists training, fundamental and applied research development, implementation of pedagogic work among youth, scientific knowledge spreading and carrying out of cultural and educational activity.
University Academic Council totals 70 persons. Scientific and pedagogical employees form no less than 75% of Academic Council structure.
Academic Council (in accordance with positions) consists of: a rector (a head), vice-rectors, deans of faculties, directors of institutes, a military institute commander, an accountant general, directors of separate structural subdivisions, an academic secretary, a head of the labour collective conference. Here also belong the elective representatives of faculties (institutes) and of other structural subdivisions who are elected from the University labour collective on demand of local governing institutions of faculties (institutes) and of scientific subdivisions.
The University Academic Council personnel structure is approved by rector’s order for a term of 5 years.
The University Academic Council decisions are put in action by the rector’s decisions.
