Science Day in Sumy Region

On May, 16 SSU had a great holiday - Science Day in Sumy Region - a day of honoring scientific traditions and victories that became a symbol of freedom and development, and that we are proud of. On this event SSU was visited by important guests: O.F.Lavryk – Vice-head of Sumy Regional State Administration, V.I.Shaposhnik – the head of Sumy Regional Committee, and also heads and managers of Sumy Regional State Administration, of departments, heads of higher educational establishments, firms and scientific establishments of the region and other guests.

In the hall of the assembly hall there was an exhibition of scientific results of higher educational establishments, industrial and agricultural firms.

Diplomas were given to winners and the last also got some reward for the development of Ukrainian science.

Turners (V.M.Parchenko, A.V.Yermakov) of research-experimental department of Scientific-Research and Project-Constructing Institute of Nuclear and Energy Pump Constructing were given a Diploma of Ministry of Ukraine for a great personal contribution to Ukrainian industry, long and hard work and high level of professionalism.

Our Ministry of Science and Education was awarded a breastplate “Petro Mohyla” for achievements in scientific-methodical work, for realization of state policy of national education, high level of professionalism and a great contribution to bringing up of high-class specialists:

• T.B.Tarasova - a head of the psychology chair of Sumy State Pedagogical University of A.S.Makarenko;
• P.I.Fomin - a head of the Theoretical Physics Deaprtment of Institute of Applied Physics of National Academy of Ukraine;
• H.I.Korohod - a professor of the chair of jury of Sumy department of Kharkiv National University of the Interior.

The following were awarded a breastplate “For Scientific Achievements”:

I.B.Karintsev - a head of the chair of the theory of strength of materials of SSU.

The following were awarded a breastplate “High Achiever of Education of Ukraine”:

1. I.V.Koryakina - an associate professor of preschool pedagogic of Hluhiv State Pedagogical university;
2. H.S.Vorob’yev - Dean of Physical-Technical Faculty of SSU;
3. A.O.Rozumenko - an associate professor of the chair of mathematics of Sumy State Pedagogical University of A.S.Makarenko;
4. V.M.Uspens’ka - an assistant professor of the chair of internal and natural-mathematical education of Sumy Regional Institute of Post-graduate Pedagogical Studying;
5. A.I.Fotin - an associate professor of the chair of epizootology of Sumy National Agricultural University.

The following were awarded a diploma of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine:

• T.I.Dyatlenko - an associate professor of the chair of Ukrainian literature of Hluhiv State Pedagogical University;
• S.M.Vaneyev - an associate professor of the chair of technical thermal physics of SSU;
• O.M.Polyakova - a head of the chair of social pedagogic of Sumy State Pedagogical University of A.S.Makarenko;
• O.M.Rud’ - Dean of the Faculty of Retraining specialists of Sumy Regional Institute of Post-graduate Pedagogical Studying;
• V.B.Tarel’nyk - a head of the chair of technical service of Sumy National Agricultural University;
• M.S.Holovan’ - Dean of Accounting-Financial Faculty of Ukrainian Academy of Banking;
• Zh.V.Zaval’na - a head of the chair of jury of Sumy Department of Kharkiv National University of the Interior;
• M.P.Bondarenko - a director of Sumy Institute of Ahriculrural Production, Ph.D. of agricultural sciences;
• V.P.Tkachova - a leading engineer of the structural department of gas compressor stations №38 of the Public Corporation “VNDI-compressormash”.

The following were awarded a diploma of Sumy Regional State Administration:

1. M.I.Sotnyk - an associate professor of the chair of applied fluid mechanics of SSU;
2. I.O.Shkol’nyk - an associate professor of the chair of finances of Ukrainian Academy of Banking, Ph.D. of economy sciences;

The gratitude of Sumy Regional State Administration was expressed to:

• V.S.Buhriy - Vice-dean on scientific work of Historical Faculty of Sumy State Pedagogical University of A.S.Makarenko; Ph.D. of pedagogical sciences;
• S.M.Lutsenko - an assistant professor of the chair of state governing and pedagogical management of Sumy Regional Institute of Post-graduate Pedagogical Studying;
• L.M.Zhuplatova - a scientific secretary of Institute of Fibre Crops of Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences;
• L.A.Haleta - a leading engineer of the department of compression and bearing №7 the public corporation “Ukrainian Research Institute of Nuclear Energy Pump Building”.

For active scientific work the following were awarded a Diploma of Sumy Regional Committee:

1. R.Y.Lopatkin - Ph.D. of physical-mathematical sciences, a head of scientific-research center of educational-scientific devices of Institute of Applied Physics of Ukrainian National Academy of sciences;
2. V.A.Doroshenko - a head of the laboratory of agriculture of Ivankis’k Research-Selective Station of Institute of Sugar Beet of Ukrainian Academy of Agriculturing, Ph.D. of agricultural sciences.

Valuable presents were given to::

• R.V.Babko - an associate professot of the chair of zoology, anatomy and physiology of Sumy State Pedagogical University of A.S.Makarenko; Ph.D. of biological sciences;
• A.V.Lytvynenko - a director of Hluhiv College of Sumy National Agricultural University;
• B.I.Shcherbak - a head of the chair of rehabilitation of Sumy Humanitarian Institute of Higher educational establishment “Open International University of Human Development “Ukraine””;
• M.I.Starodub - a head of the chair of rehabilitation of Sumy Humanitarian Institute of Higher educational establishment “Open International University of Human Development “Ukraine””.

A large group of scientists, post-graduates, students and masters of higher educational establishments of III-IV level of accreditation were awarded diplomas of department of Sumy Regional State Administration.

During the celebration the visitors were congratulated by students of SSU that are participants of our clubs, among them there are:

• Men Vocal Band of SSU (head: O.Sotnichenko);
• Victoria Verbunko - II level Diploma of Ukrainian contest “Pervotsvit”, a winner of the regional contest of Borys Hmyrya, SSU student (translation);
• Yevgen Julay - a winner of Sumy contest of pop-songs “Star Chance”, a laureate of III prize of Boromlya Festival, a laureate of the festival “Song Wings of Churayivna”, a winner of the selective tour and participant of the festival “Step to the Stars” , twice laureate of II and III prize of Sumy Television-radio Festival “Star Space”, four times laureate of the festival “Sumy stars”, SSU student of Humanitarian Faculty;
• Olexandra Lazarenko - a laureate of Ukrainian contest “Boromlya”, Gran-Pri of “Children Are the Future of Ukraine” in Kyiv, a laureate of the international contest “We Are Together” in Bryans’k, SSU student of Engineering Faculty;
• Band of Folk Dancing of SSU (head: Olga Irbit);
• Natalia Andreyko - a laureate of the regional contest “Students’ spring”, a laureate of Ukrainian contest “Boromlya”, SSU student of Faculty of Economy and Management.

After celebrations all the present became spectators of the opening of Museum of scientific Reseraches at SSU Library. A red stripe was cut by SSU Rector, professor A.V.Vasyl’yev and a head of Sumy Regional Committee V.I.Sjaposhnyk.
