SSU Online
During last 2 years opportunities of transferring and of multimedia translations through Internet considerably increased. New multimedia audiences came to educational process, quantity of projectors at SSU rose to 40 units. The channel of connection with the global information network allows to organize video conference on any computer without additional adjustment, using free-of-charge programs, for example: live messenger (www.live.com), Skype (www.skype.com), and ІCQ.
In April and May (dispite a plenty of holidays) significant events took place in this field. Constant participation in scientific conferences with Institute of Management of Informational Systems (Riga Latvia www.isma.lv) became traditional, and in April it took place for the fourth time. Representatives of Konotop Institute of SSU took part in scientific conference "Modern Ukrainian University: theory and practice of introduction of innovative technologies" online. These conferences were held with the help of Skype.
Modern informational means allow not only to participate in scientific conferences and to communicate, but they also help the process of studying. So, students and teachers of our university took part the distant learning course “Informational Safety” that was held by Moscow specialists from “Kaspersky laboratory” on May, 14-15. For organization they used web-resource "WebEx" (www.webex.com) with a full calendar of scientific seminars.

On May, 20 we had a possibility to watch and listen to the lecture of Steven Balmer, a general director of Microsoft that was in Ukraine. The lecture was translated from Kyiv National University of T.Shevchenko (http://msvideo.online.ua) to our dear ET-216 multimedia audience. We used the program Silverlight (www.microsoft.com/silverlight).
