On September 11th, Sumy State University hosted a workshop “Ukraine-NATO: partnership for the sake of peace”.

Students of the majors “Translation”, “Social Work” and “Management of Sociocultural Activity” had heard the lecture of the international security policy specialist, Director of the Foreign Policy Research Institute Hryhorii Perepelytsia on the topic of “NATO Key Challenges, Values and Principles in Ukraine”. The students also spoke with the First Secretary of the British Embassy in Ukraine James Roed-Moore and project experts. The participants learned how to distinguish between misinformation during the simulation game "Countering Propaganda Information Attacks Against Ukraine-NATO Cooperation on the example of regional media messages as a component of cybersecurity". Within the game, students tried themselves as analysts, preparing materials to counteract the information attacks against Ukraine's cooperation with NATO, and were able to understand the nature of hybrid war myths and to learn to distinguish them from reports in the media and social networks.
